Cortez schools drop new reading curriculum full of errors

The Montezuma-Cortez district decided not to use a Texas-made reading curriculum after finding errors and a Texas focus. If you have an elementary student, expect changes to what they're learning this year.

Free police academy runs six Thursday nights this fall

Cortez PD is bringing back its Citizens Academy on Thursdays from September 3 to October 8. It's free and open to anyone 18 and up who wants to see how the department works.
