Hundreds of cyclists rolling through town this week

About 300 riders are touring Colorado from Aug. 10 to 14 with routes over Monarch and Cottonwood passes and through Salida. Drivers should watch for cyclists on our highways and county roads during the day.

City Council puts a hold on data centers

The council passed a 12-month moratorium on data centers while the state works out its own rules. It gives Salida time to update the land use code before any big projects move in.
